Inunakiyama Onsen Fudoguchikan

7 Ogi, Izumisano-shi, Osaka Prefecture 犬鳴山温泉 不動口館

A secluded inn surrounded in rich nature in Osaka

Located in the only hot spring district in Osaka Prefecture, this onsen ryokan is situated along the Inunaki River valley, near the entrance road to Shippo-ryuji Temple, an ancient Shugendo temple in Izumisano. It is surrounded by the rich nature of Mt.Inunaki, which is part of quasi-national park.

Tattooed guests are not allowed in the large public bath, but may use the private open-air bath or the baths inside the guest rooms.

The onsen here is a simple sulfur hot spring, and a tinge of sulfur permeates the air. The open-air baths let you enjoy a quiet bath time with a view of the great nature in the valley. The bath rooms also have an attached shower booth.

The inn has a total of 11 guest rooms. Besides the standard Japanese-style rooms, there are also 2 different rooms with attached private baths. You can choose the one that has beds or the other which lets you sleep on futons.

For meals, you can savor traditional kaiseki course meals that feature seasonal ingredients, including local produce, fresh seafood from the Sano Harbor, and wild vegetables from Mt.Inunaki.

They also have popular wild game cuisine such as wild boar or duck hot pot, as well as a large lineup of local sake and other alcoholic drinks.

Guests can enjoy a variety of activities nearby, such as a visit to Shippo-ryuji Temple or nature hiking and waterfall watching in the valley. The inn is located 45 minutes from Osaka City and 30 minutes from Kansai International Airport by car. It’s a great place for those who want to relax away from the bustle of the big city.
