Often called “salvation water”, guests who visit are thankful for its healing properties.
A long time ago, a Buddhist stone statue, or “Jizo(a guardian deity of children)” emerged from the hot spring, which is why the onsen is named “Jizo Yu” and displays a stone statue at the entrance.
It is located in a large modern building with impressive hexagonal windows, which was created after the popular tourist spot “Genbudo Cave”.
The bath inside is a simple yet large heated bath but also has a lukewarm bath so that young children can enter with their parents.
You can also rent the private open-air bath if you would like some private family relaxation time.
Inside, there is also a large, tatami-mat floored rest room to relax after a long soak.
