A little-known public bath house in the back alley
This is a public bath where you can enjoy natural black hot spring”kuro-yu”.
By train, it is accessible from Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line Isezaki-chojamachi Stationi or Bandobashi Station, or from Keihin Kyuko Koganecho Station or Hinodecho Station.
It is located in the second floor of a building in a red-light district back alley. The bath area has wall tiles that resemble red bricks, and a floor with a modern design.
There are two types of bath: a clear “shira-yu” bath and a black “kuro-yu” bath. There is also a sauna (separate fee required) and a cold water bath, and you can use the different baths in alternate.
The kuroyu bath is a natural hot spring that will warm your body up and leave your skin moisturized.
This little-known place has been a favorite spot of the locals for many years.
