This secluded onsen lodge has 9 guest rooms and a separate an independent guest-cottage. The small, old fashioned building exudes an atmosphere of a traditional Japanese ryokan.

It is located in Obama onsen resort. This area is known for the hottest hot springs in Japan. The 30 springs throughout the town producing over 15,000 tons of spring source per day that can reach temperatures as high as 105°C.

At this inn, the hot spring of 97 degrees Celsius gushes out 430 liters per minute from 100m underground. It is cooled down only through heat exchange, so you can experience the spring quality straight from the source.

The natural hot spring has a mild, soft quality that keeps your body warm even after a bath. It is chloride spring for popular with many onsen fans, particularly women.

Guests with tattoos are not allowed in the communal indoor baths, but if you are staying in the ryokan, you can make use of 3 different private baths for free without the need for reservations. If you time your visit well, you may even be able to use all three baths.

The 3 private baths consist of an open-air bath, a cypress wood bath, and a stone bath. You can easily check if the baths are occupied or vacant from a lamp located along a hallway near the guest rooms. At the stone bath, you can request for a glass of sake that you can enjoy while soaking in the bath.

There is also a separate 2-storey cottage that can be stay as a whole unit. Guests staying here can enjoy the onsen at an indoor bath and open-air bath in a private atmosphere 24 hours a day. It’s like living in an old Japanese house with its very own onsen, a totally blissful experience.

Meals feature dishes made with local ingredients, including seafood from the nearby seas, and vegetables and meat produced in the Shimabara peninsula.

The ryokan also has a beauty salon exclusive for women, perfect for refreshing both your mind and body.
