Sansui Global Inn

28 Shimojuku Hei, Ureshinomachi, Ureshino-shi, Saga Prefecture 山水グローバルイン

A hotel filled with art and a free-flowing onsen

This casual onsen hotel has a rare “gensen kakenagashi” free flowing hot spring. Gensen kakenagashi is 100% natural hot spring without any filtration or additives. It is located in Ureshino Onsen, a hot spring district in Saga Prefecture famed for its skin beautifying properties.

The hotel staff can communicate in Japanese, English, and Thai. Accommodation plans basically do not come with meals, but you can choose a plan that includes breakfast. Fees are quite reasonable, so it’s a suitable hotel for business trips, solo or family travelers, sports camps, and other situations.

The popular breakfast buffet features a lineup of homemade dishes, including Ureshino’s famous “Onsen TOFU”. The dishes make use of organic vegatables grown from the hotel’s own farm, as well as other fresh ingredients from Kyushu. You can also get free refills of rice, giving you plenty of energy to start the day.

There are various food establishments within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel, including a restaurant, an izakaya(Japanese bar restaurant), and a stylish cafe, so you shouldn’t have any problems looking for meals. You can even ask the friendly hotel staff for local recommendations.

The onsen is a 100% “gensen kakenagashi” hot spring that flows directly from the source with no disinfection or re-circulation, and is famous for its skin cleanser-like quality. The slightly alkaline hot spring removes sebum and dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth and moisturized after a bath.

There are 3 large public baths that alternate for men and women in the morning and evening. The Saikai bath features a mural painted by the popular painting unit DOPPEL, while the Ariake bath features an intricate painting by artist Takao Suzuki. You can enjoy a truly relaxing bath in a paradise of contemporary art.

The onsen also has private baths for those who want to bathe in private. The wooden baths have a warm atmosphere that lets you enjoy a pleasant and comfortable bath time.

Every floor on the hotel has a book corner where guests can borrow books freely. Book lovers will find it irresistible, with genres that include art, photography, manga, novels, cuisine, travel, and more. Whether it’s books, art, or the onsen, there’s something for you to enjoy when you stay in this hotel.
