Description

Relax in the middle of a tranquil forest

This luxurious onsen lodge features just 12 rooms in a vast 5,000 ㎡ site. It is surrounded by a quiet forest, and is reputed as a place that offers a deeply relaxing stay.

Guests with tattoos are not allowed in the communal indoor and open-air baths, but may use the 3 private baths without reservations 24 hours a day. When using a private bath, hang the 『使用中(in use)』 placard outside and lock the door after you enter.

The 3 types of private baths are marble indoor bath, an open-air rock bath, a stone bath with cypress wood bath. Every room is spacious and offers a unique atmosphere.

You can also choose from 3 different guest room types. The standard Japanese room does not have an attached bath, so it’s suitable if you want to try the 3 private baths.

Guest rooms in the new building have an attached open-air and indoor bath. They also feature floor heating and a simple kitchen. They are suitable for family guests with small children.

The cottage type guest rooms are the most spacious of the 3 types. They feature spacious open-air and indoor baths that can accommodate 3 to 4 adults. You can also enjoy a view of a garden while bathing. This room is ideal for small groups or family guests.

In addition to common minerals, the hot spring here is rich in metasilicic acid, known as natural skin moisturizers. All the baths are free-flowing types, so you can experience the quality of the hot spring direct from the source. You can feel your skin become smooth and slippery after a bath.

For meals, you can enjoy colorful but well-balanced kaiseki course meals flavored with simple seasonings. Savor Kumamoto specialties such as basashi horse meat, Akaushi beef, Aso chicken, seafood, as well as homegrown vegetables and buckwheat.

The lodge also features a library with a piano, an irori hearth rest space where you can drink tea or alcoholic beverages, an observatory with a telescope, and various walkways around the site. There are many ways to enjoy this place besides the baths and food.

If you have tattoos, please take care not to expose them when dining at the restaurant or moving around in the site. The lodge does not allow entry to gangs and other antisocial forces.

This place lets you enjoy a free-flowing hot spring bath anytime you want as much as you want, all in a private atmosphere surrounded by a quiet forest. Please relax and have a blissful time.
