A recreational onsen ryokan popular for its luxurious buffet

This recreational onsen ryokan with 94 guest rooms is located in Aso Uchinomaki Onsen, around 50 minutes by car from the Kyushu Expressway Kumamoto IC and 15 minutes from JR Aso Station.

It is popular for its luxurious buffet that features Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, as well as local Kumamoto specialties, yakiniku of marbled beef, fresh sashimi, sushi, and various desserts. There is also all-you-can-drink beer, shochu, sake, wine, and other alcoholic drinks. You can indulge in your favorite food and drink to your heart’s content.

Guests with tattoos are not allowed in the large communal bath, but can use the free private bath with 10 rooms and the paid private bath with 3 rooms. If you want to enjoy the hot spring even in the middle of the night, you should stay in a guest room with an attached open-air bath. The spacious tub offers a relaxing bath time along with a great view.

The free private baths consist of 2 indoor baths, 2 open-air baths, and 6 semi-open-air baths, for a total of 10 rooms. They can be used without reservation and have no time limit. Just check the vacancy status at the front desk and use the one you like. You can use them as much as you want, and you can even try different baths for a change of scenery.

The paid open-air bath in the top floor with a magnificent view is called Tenbo-no-Yu. Reservation is required for use and it has a 40-minute time limit. You can make a reservation at the front desk during check-in. You can enjoy a luxurious bath while admiring a majestic panorama of the Aso Five Peaks.

The ryokan has 5 types of guest rooms, 3types of which include an attached onsen bath. They’re perfect if you want to enjoy the onsen as much as you want in your own time. They are also reasonably priced, and you can even upgrade your room for a small fee.

The rooms with open-air baths (Building C) are ground floor rooms. The stone bath set in the garden gives you a sense of openness. If you are staying with children, you can borrow a swim ring from the front desk for free. Kids can enjoy the bath as if they’re swimming in a pool during summer.

The rooms with open-air baths (Building D) are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. They feature semi-open-air stone baths and large windows with a view of the Aso mountains, perfect for an elegant and relaxing stay.

The Special Rooms with open-air baths are located on the top floor. All rooms feature an extravagant bath that lets you experience the beautiful nature of Aso. You can soak while enjoying the refreshing breeze and admiring a view of the blue sky or star-filled heavens at night.

The onsen is a slightly alkaline simple spring that flows continuously from the source. It helps exfoliate your skin, making it smooth and vibrant after a bath.

The ryokan is also replete with facilities and attractions, including a karaoke room, ping-pong tables, game booths similar to ones at Japanese festivals, and even a bingo tournament held every day. You can enjoy this place the way you want to.
